Question: Do people want to find freedom in today’s world? What do they want freedom from? Do you desire freedom? Explain what type of freedom you want and why. Is freedom always a good thing? Why or why not?

Our group wants as much freedom as possible. The more freedom we have the better. Freedom gives you the chance to make mistakes and learn from them. It also builds a persons character by making them more self dependent. However you put it freedom is a good thing.
ReplyDeletePeople in todays world are searching for freedom in many ways such as freedom from their government, religious freedom, and freedom in their job. Even our pod is looking for more freedom from our parents, rules, and the repetitiveness of school every day. Freedom is a good thing but too much freedom can lead to anarchy and everyone fighting for their own wants.
ReplyDeleteI believe people are always looking for freedom, espescially in america. People will accept freedom from any source of government or people themselves. Even if the freedom requires violence or ignorance, people will do anything. People want the freedom to be who they are, say what they want and do what they want. This is because that's how America, or any other place, has been depicted since the beginning of the peoples lifes and ideas. A place of freedom is always looked up to but it can be a bad thing. Corruption can always occur even in the best of places and it sometimes seems that it happens more than not in countries with almost full freedom. Nothing is always good, freedom can be used as a ploy to gain peoples support and/or contributions. I believe it's the persons desire whether to treat freedom with either a good or bad intention.

We believe that many people are out there trying to seek freedom. Especially those who don't have the luxury of living in America. People are trying to seek freedom from many obstacles. Those obstacles are religion, government ruling, living conditions, and just the way of life. Everyone wants freedom because it allows them to do what they want when they want and they don't have to answer to anyone one. Freedoms that we want are different depending on the person. An example of a freedom that we want is freedom from the control of our parents/guardians. Parents tend to spoil the fun and always try to put a stop to it. Freedom isn't always a good thing because too much freedom would cause craziness. People don't realize the amount of freedom we have until it's taken away. But absolute freedom would be chaotic due to the fact that everyone would do what they want and there isn't a higher authority to put a stop to it.

People do want to find freedom in today's world. But we think that there are many freedoms in today's world that they do not see. The only way recognize the need for freedom is to be enslaved. People around the world look for freedom from work, school, and even slavery. Right now in America many people are unhappy with the freedoms they feel have been stripped away from them. In my life, for example, I want freedom from my parents because I feel that they are annoying and always pestering me. Freedom isn't always a good thing however. If you have too much freedom such as the right to bear arms, many people will abuse this freedom and cause violence.

THE 2nd PERIOD LOUD POD: I believe that students today do not strive for freedom nearly as much as students used to. A new generation with technology surrounding them changes the aspect of freedom. Freedom can range from turning your phone off, to going off to college away from parents. Students today generally want freedom away from technology. Also, a lot of students love the freedom of leaving their parents and going off to college to fend for themselves. This is probably the most coming aspect of freedom that comes to students minds now-a-days. I believe that freedom is a good thing to a certain degree. Too much freedom can definitely have it's negative effects. This happens with students in college around the country. All the freedoms of being at college and being able to do what you want when you want is a lot all at once. Although, I believe that kids need some freedom to learn how live on their own and learn to fend for themselves.

ReplyDeletePeople want freedom in today's world. They want freedom from liability, responsibility, and restriction. All three of us desire freedom. Sam wants to be able to drive more than one person in his car because a couple stupid drivers should not cause all new drivers to be pennalized. Robert wants freedom from censorship, more specifically R-rated movies. His reasoning is that all of us have already been exposed to worse in this world so we should not be restricted from R-rated movies. Nathan wants freedom from homework because in college homework is a tool to prepare for tests and is not required. High school should be the same. That would allow student to prioritize their studying along with extracurricular activities and make better decisions regarding the way they spend their time. Having too much freedom can be dangerous because people would have no reason to be held accountable for anything.

We believe that people always have wanted to find freedom in our world. People want freedom in everything, from their everyday lives to voicing their opinion. For example, teens want to be free of their families and start their own lives and politicians need the freedom to voice their opinions to succeed in their careers. Freedom of religion and oppression are also freedoms that people seek. As teens, we desire the freedom to make our own decisions in life and to be on our own. Some freedoms are more important than others, like the ones that are enforced by government like speech, press, religion, and property. Others we can live without, like hurting others and stealing. Freedom is an important part of our lives as Americans today, because our ancestors have fought for it for years.

ReplyDeleteWe believe that finding freedom is crucial in today's world. It could be the explanation as to why foreigners immigrate to the United States. They want a fresh start and want to try and be successful and earn some sort of freedom. We think that people want to be free from the stress in life with working and paying the bills for their homes. We think everyone desires freedom from certain things all the time. Students in high school deal with stress from finals and the ACT. They just want to be free from all of that and be able to live life to to the fullest. Also, adults deal with a great amount of stress. Like we said before, there is a lot of stress they have to deal with in the workplace. No job is really safe here in the US which makes people more stressed because they might lose their job at any given time. Freedom from certain things can be good, but too much freedom might cause problems. Children with too much freedom don't have any guidance and will have an unpredictable future. In the end, freedom is a necessity for those in need of stress relief and time to relax.
We think that people want to find freedom with society. People have to live up to society's standards and we feel like we need a brake from judgement and we aren't. People want to break free from judgment.

We believe that do want freedom in today's world. The type of freemdom peoples are looking for is the freedom of being your own person to be able to be your self with others judging them. I would like the same freedom because I know how awful it feels when people judge you on the things you where and how u look, and that's coming from a kid Hawthorne loves thearte and dressing up in costume and makeup and I'm sure that john and zach agree.

People want to find freedom from family, work, society, etc. Yes, even as students we desire freedom from things like our parents, homework, the same school day, rules, etc. Freedom is a good thing but some people take it for granted and abuse it. Also, too much freedom can lead to fighting because people will fight over the things they want.

ReplyDeleteWe believe that people in today's world desire various freedoms such as speech, religion, as well as freedom from authorities and freedom from everyday troubles. People in our age group desire freedom from schoolwork, stress, and rules. Freedom isn't always a good thing because when given too much freedom, people can make reckless decisions and cause bad outcomes.

ReplyDeleteDan, Casey, Javier, Mike. Free people want freedom from the expectations of society and from the establishments which try to force such expectations. We are not inherently free because we are born into parents and a government which intends to control us, so I would like to free myself from this. I would like the freedom to make choices without needing to consult with my parents first. I can see in some cases how freedom can be bad because if someone does a bad thing the should be punished for it not be allowed to just repeat their actions which could hurt people in the end.
ReplyDeletePeople want the thought of freedom. They want to be able to choose what they like, who they are, and how they act. They, and us as a group, want these because they let us became people that through life and experience are changing and those freedoms are part of the reason that that is possible.
ReplyDeleteFreedoms though are not always a good thing. Too much of a good thing is too much of a good thing. There are times in which for the betterment of the whole an individual much give up they own freedoms.
